Modern meets tradition
an original artistic project, referring to the tradition and achievements of folk pottery.
We have created - and are still working on - a collection of household pottery, which derives its power and style from traditional folk art.
Our intention is to continue the patterns and shapes of traditional folk pottery, giving it our own artistic vision. All our kneading-troughs, pitchers, bowls, etc, we create from scratch using newer running castings technique. We also paint them ourselves. Invented by us, ornamental plants (roses, wreaths), and glazing and firing technology, refer to the folk design and tradition.
We consider ourselves the heirs and contemporary continuators of folk art heritage. We do not reproduce but create new household ceramics, which draw on the experience of strong artistic and historical roots.
The programme has the ambition to continue and to develop the vanishing traditional potter’s craft.
